You know exactly what this feels like.

Reading the same paragraph three times and still not knowing what it said.

Opening a new tab instead of starting the thing that actually matters.

The 2 PM wall — the work is still there and you aren’t.

The third coffee that does nothing except make you anxious.

Walking into a room and standing there, waiting for the reason to come back.

Ending a full day of being busy with nothing you’d actually call finished.

It isn’t discipline.

A brain running on broken sleep, an inflamed gut, and no raw material for its own neurotransmitters is doing exactly what it should under those conditions. You can’t willpower your way out of a supply problem.

stopped working because caffeine only blocks the signal that you’re tired. It never addressed why.
asked you to give up a drink you liked for one you didn’t, cut your caffeine to a third, and deliver nothing for eight weeks.
are underdosed, single-mechanism, and aimed at the brain while ignoring the two upstream causes.

Three causes. One stick pack.

Your brain lacks the raw materials for focus
Citicoline at 500 mg plus L-Theanine to make your existing caffeine work properly
You’re running a sleep deficit you can’t out-caffeinate
Ashwagandha — works on the reason you’re depleted, not the symptom
Your gut is inflamed, and that reaches your head
A prebiotic and a probiotic that actually survives hot coffee

And it starts working on the first morning.

1

Tear.

Open one stick pack.

2

Pour.

Into any coffee, tea, or beverage — hot or iced.

3

Stir.

15 seconds. Dissolves completely. No grit.

Works with your local roaster. Your espresso. Your iced cold brew. Your office Keurig. Nothing about your morning changes.

The Mechanism

Four ingredients. Four timescales. All running at once.

Mushroom coffee asks you to wait eight weeks before anything happens. We built the formula so something is working from the first cup — and the rest compounds underneath.

1

The First Morning (20–45 min)

L-Theanine + your caffeine

L-Theanine peaks around 30–50 minutes, raising alpha brain-wave activity and modulating GABA and glutamate. It takes the jittery edge off caffeine without blunting alertness. Alert calm instead of wired.

2

The First Two Weeks

Rhodiola Rosea

The fastest-acting adaptogen in the stack. Anti-fatigue and cognitive benefits emerge within roughly two weeks. This is the phase where the afternoon wall stops showing up.

3

Weeks Three to Eight

Ashwagandha + Cordyceps + the gut

Ashwagandha works on sleep — the upstream cause. Cordyceps lands at the three-week mark. The probiotic and prebiotic are rebuilding the gut environment across this same window.

4

Month Two and Beyond

Lion’s Mane

Hericenones and erinacines promote nerve growth factor synthesis. Human trials run 12–16 weeks. One trial found gains disappeared four weeks after stopping — honest justification for staying subscribed.

What’s in it. Why it works. What the research measured.

First Morning

Citicoline

500 mg
14% increase in brain ATP markers +

The ingredient with a brain scan to prove it.

Citicoline (CDP-choline) drives phospholipid metabolism and neurotransmitter synthesis. It activates biosynthesis of structural phospholipids in neuronal membranes, increases cerebral metabolism, and raises noradrenaline and dopamine levels in the central nervous system.

A Harvard Medical School / McLean Hospital study used 31P magnetic resonance spectroscopy at 4 Tesla to look directly inside the frontal lobes of 16 healthy adults after six weeks at 500 mg/day. In the anterior cingulate cortex: phosphocreatine up 7%, beta-nucleoside triphosphates (largely ATP) up 14%, and the phosphocreatine-to-inorganic-phosphate ratio up 32%. These are direct measurements of cellular energy inside a living human brain.

A separate 12-week RCT in 100 healthy older adults at 500 mg/day found significant improvements in episodic and composite memory. Another 12-week RCT in adults aged 35–75 found improvements in sustained attention, mental energy, and reaction time.

When you'll notice: Some acute attentional effects within hours. Full accumulation over 4–6 weeks.

First Morning

L-Theanine

200 mg
200 mg the full research dose +

The reason your coffee works better with this in it.

Caffeine blocks adenosine receptors and raises noradrenaline — driving alertness and, at higher doses, jitter. L-Theanine raises alpha-wave activity and modulates GABA and glutamate, damping the anxious-arousal side without touching the alertness.

A meta-analysis of 10 acute randomized trials found the L-Theanine/caffeine combination improved alertness and attentional-switching accuracy. Alpha waves recorded in occipital and parietal regions within about 40 minutes of a 50–200 mg oral dose. 200 mg is the canonical pairing with a standard ~95 mg cup — the classic 2:1 ratio.

When you'll notice: 30–50 minutes. First cup. Calm-focus window roughly 2–3 hours.

Month Two+

Lion’s Mane

500 mg (10:1 ≈ 5 g raw)
≈5 g raw equivalent per stick +

The dose most mushroom coffees won’t show you.

Contains hericenones and erinacines — compounds that promote nerve growth factor (NGF) synthesis and may support neuroplasticity.

Mori’s trial in adults aged 50–80 at 3 g/day found improvements at weeks 8, 12, and 16 — gains gone at the 4-week follow-up after stopping. Typical mushroom coffee runs ~250 mg. Our 500 mg at 10:1 is roughly 5 g raw equivalent — above what the successful trials used.

When you'll notice: 8–16 weeks. The Four Clocks framework means other ingredients carry you through the wait.

First Two Weeks

Rhodiola Rosea

+

Week two is when the afternoon wall stops showing up.

Adaptogenic modulation of the HPA axis and monoamine pathways. Buffers stress-cortisol peaks rather than suppressing baseline cortisol.

Three independent RCTs across distinct fatigued populations. Olsson 2009 enrolled 132 patients with stress-related burnout over 12 weeks. Separate trials in night-shift physicians and military cadets found objective improvements in calculation speed and error rate.

When you'll notice: Around two weeks; some acute effects within hours.

Weeks 3–8

Ashwagandha

+

You can’t out-caffeinate a bad night.

Every focus product asks a sleep-deprived brain to perform harder. This one works on the reason it’s depleted. Take it in the morning; the payoff shows up in how you sleep and how you wake.

A meta-analysis of five RCTs in 400 participants found a significant effect on overall sleep quality. Sleep efficiency improved from 75.6% to 83.5% over 10 weeks. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

When you'll notice: 4–8 weeks.

Weeks 3–8

Cordyceps

+

More oxygen to the organ that burns 20% of your body’s supply.

Cordycepin is an adenosine analogue reported to activate AMPK, promoting mitochondrial biogenesis. Most mechanistic work is cell and animal models.

An RCT in 28 healthy adults: after three weeks, VO2max improved by ~11% versus no change in placebo. One week wasn’t enough — three weeks was.

When you'll notice: ~3 weeks.

Vitamin B6 + B12

+

The cofactors that keep the machinery running.

Essential cofactors in homocysteine metabolism, energy metabolism, and normal neurological function. Deficiency in either produces fatigue and cognitive symptoms directly.

Your gut talks to your brain. We made sure it has something good to say.

When the gut microbiome is disrupted, bacterial components activate immune cells and trigger pro-inflammatory cytokines, which increase the permeability of both the gut barrier and the blood-brain barrier. Microbial metabolites — short-chain fatty acids produced when bacteria ferment fiber — cross the blood-brain barrier and modulate neurotransmission directly. The gut is a genuine input to how clear your head feels.

Most probiotics die in hot coffee. This one was tested in it.

Bacillus coagulans is a spore-forming probiotic. The spore coat is why it survives what kills conventional strains. Documented as stable through the processing and storage conditions of brewed coffee and tea. In vitro, spores showed 92% survival through simulated digestion and adhered to human colonic cells at roughly 5× the rate of L. acidophilus controls. Holds GRAS status. Shelf-stable at room temperature. Non-GMO.

92% survival through simulated digestion

Inulin from Chicory Root (prebiotic fiber)

A prebiotic fiber that feeds beneficial gut bacteria, notably Bifidobacteria. Pairing a prebiotic with a probiotic is the standard approach: one adds beneficial bacteria, the other feeds what’s already there.

Four reasons the category churns.

1

It tastes like it’s punishing you.

The category’s persistent complaint: earthy, bitter, gritty. A daily habit you dislike is a habit you drop.

2

It costs you caffeine.

~95 mg in drip coffee versus ~50 mg or less in typical mushroom coffee. You feel worse on day one. That’s the opposite of what you paid for.

3

It’s underdosed.

Typical mushroom coffee runs ~250 mg per mushroom against trials that used 3 g/day. You can’t get a research-level result from a fraction of a research dose.

4

Nothing happens for two months.

Lion’s Mane trials measure at weeks 8, 12, 16. Cordyceps needed three weeks. Even done right, mushrooms alone are a long game — and there’s nothing in the tub to carry you through the wait.

Precision dose every serving

The dose you paid for, in every single cup.

Precision dosing.

Every stick is identical. No scoop, no guessing, no “heaping teaspoon” variance. Tubs and pouches are where underdosing hides.

Freshness.

Individually sealed. A tub of powder oxidizes a little more every time it’s opened. Stick 28 is identical to stick 1.

Travel.

Fits a pocket, a laptop sleeve, a carry-on. Works with hotel coffee, airport coffee, the office machine, your in-laws’ Keurig.

No fridge, no mess, no cleanup.

Unlike a syrup or a liquid, nothing to spill or store.

It doesn’t replace anything.

Tubs of mushroom coffee occupy the coffee slot. A stick pack occupies no slot at all — it joins whatever’s already there.
